Week 9 26 May - 1 June

Sunday 26
Charlie and Lucy up at normal time. Charlie had pretty big meltdown but once we waited through it we when on to a really good day. When to the kids church at Goodna. Stopped in at the Green playground on the way home. I had an afternoon nap. Robyn and kids watched the last of the movie. Played a great game with the box from Meridy's out the front of the house with thr neighbours kids. Had homemade pizzas for tea. Kids were a bit slow going to sleep but were asleep when Ben and Nay got home. 
Monday 27
Left Ben and Nay's after Nay had taken the kids to school and Ben had gone to work. Stopped for a coffee at Marberg. Good spot. Got some lunch at BP Charlton and home by 12.30pm. Spent the afternoon fixing water trough one was bunged up and the other was running over.  After this Dad and I checked other place tank and rode over the area the cattle have been grazing. Made the call to open the front paddock, bottle tree Hill and the paddock behind to Pickering's. Posted marketplace ad for tyres and watched moto GP and Mini of Titans v Broncos game. 
Tuesday 28
Quick ride around. Put heifer that had crawled out back in. Some of the cattle have move to new paddocks. Water on filling mill tank. Found and clean out start of mouse nest in the ute. Opened the millet shed and grain is against the door so think mice are in there again. Setout a bait will check tomorrow. Town -  brought some mouse control stuff, a pair of work pants. Took dad's breathing pump to have reset. Find out chemist is about to sell out leaves on Friday. Came home and worked on SPOT charge on bike to find new usb A port does not work consistently. Sent note to supplier and ordered a USB C to USB A adapter that should make it work. 
Wednesday 29
Did books up to the end of May. Fixed toilet door lock after 60 years the spring that return the latch broke. Put the ute back together after spraying it with detol. 
Trudy and Ebony came to visit for lunch. 
Started moving cattle from the other place. 
Thursday 30 
Robyn and Kate when to Julie's in Dalby to do her school meeting. I got a buggy load of firewood for Meridy and put it in the ute. Dad and I when out together and moved all the cattle from the other place into the paddock below the diary. It was good fun working with Dad me in the buggy and me on the motorbike. I did books up to the end of April too. Had a call from Rod McClennan and Andrew Purcell with some questions before they visited Mackay. 
Friday 31
Robyn and Kate headed to Brisbane after Breakfast. I sent the water rates notices to tenants. Did up and new Rental agreement for 1 Dapplewood, Sent an email to the contactor about cleaning AC in Mackay. I contacted Two Wheel Tyres and paid for tyres for the bike.  I made 5 Mice Bait tubes and put them out. One in the Carport where Dad's buggy is, One in the Garden Shed, Two in the millet container and one in the tools container. Then with a new chain in the chain saw I cut another buggy load of wood. After lunch I washed the ute and welded up the broken gate from the yards and replaced missing pin in crush. Dad managed to get all the cattle out of the paddock below the diary and on their way to the good grass on the west side of the road. 
Saturday 1
Left at 4 am to get to the airport to pick up Anna at 7.30am. form there to Ben and Nay's and Charlie Birthday. Meridy, Matt and Hayley came so di Al and Kim and CJ, Kim, Jethro and Honey. Was a lovely day that went very well. People started heading off about 2.30 so by 3.00 we headed to Meridy's and dropped off the firewood and pick up tyres and then we headed home in the rain. getting home about 7.30pm.

Week 68 13 - 20 July CRD 57 Wk2 Europe.

Sunday 13 Last day of Super Bikes. Better day for Aussies Talya came 7th and Tara 20th WCR and Remi 9th in SBK and Ollie Baylass 13th . His team mate came second again. Met a bloke who was a Jack Miller fan and we yarned between races.  Robyn and Kate had a great day and went to visit Chatsworth House the inspiration for Jane Austin's Pemberly House in Pride and Prejudice. Came back to accomdation at Hartshorne and they were having a Pizza night with live music. Small group about 30 people good fun and good evening. We got out washing done too.  Monday 14 Dried our washing and then headed to York. Thought we would take the non motorway roads but it was not fun just congestion. So we M1ed it. York was amazing. Old buildings very close together. Could spend ages there. We then went open to Thirsk for the night. Visited the Yorkshire Vet building. James Heriot centre was shut. Week 83 26 Oct - 1 Nov CRD84

Sunday 26 Church at Cooranga North. I lead and Allan preached. Then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Robyn got ready to go on calenders trip with Wendy and Maddie I watched some Supercars .Robyn left about 3pm. I adjusted the chain on to 500 before we had a storm. Bit of noise but not much rain for us. Dad and I watched a Clarksons farm before bed.  Monday 27 Relief at Dalby CC today. Cover Exam super and then I cover two year 8 math classes. Robyn had an eventful day on her bike ride. First one of the group fell over while getting the bikes out of the room and and damaged her wrist. Robyn had a dizzy spell after exerting herself moving a tree off the track and Wendy came a cropper when she spotted a snake going through a gateway. They are back in Esk tonight. It was a hot day today with a hot wind. Predicting rain tomorrow. I put on  slow cooker when I came home so we have lunches this week.  Tuesday 28 Dalby CC today. English and Vis Arts exams. Week 69 20-27 July CRD57 W3 Europe

Sunday 20 Started the day with a visit to Kelpies on the North East of Falkirk. These huge art installation of two houses heads represent images of the Scottish mythical beast the Kelpie a water creature that looks like a horse. Very impressive. More driving in the beautiful Scottish countryside to our breakfast spot Tinto Hills Tearooms near Thankerton. Here I met a motorcyclist enjoying a ride and a Sunday morning coffee. Really think I need to come back and ride here. Next we visited Hadrain's wall or the ruins of part of it. It was the Romans Defence line across English to keep the Scots out. Originally 4 metres high what we saw was part of the foundations. The view of the English countryside was picturebook idyllic. Next we went to Lockerbie to see and reflect on the event of the Lockerbie bombing where a bombed PanAm jet literally fell out of the sky in 1988.
