Week 87 23 - 29 Nov CRD97

Sunday 23  Very early morning storm lots of thunder and lighting and about 20mm of rain. At church at Cooranga North it appeared that most people had about the same. Had a congregationsl meeting after church and supported the session proposal to make me an elder in Bell and Cooranga North. Andrew Clauson from Kingaroy came out preached and lead meeting. Had lunch at Pips n Cherries. Came home for another afternoon nap. Set the spear gate to capture cattle for muster tomorrow.  Monday 24 Robyn went to Kumbia today. I worked on books while washing and working cows through spear gate. Robyn rang to say she had a flat tyre on the ute. I went into Kumbia to change it. Harry and Val came over for a cuppa. They move to Norfolk Is Thursday. Both excited about it. John Walker is looking /leasing after place next door. Got a message from Troy to say AC in Levi's room is not cooling. Week 86 16 - 22 Nov CRD93

Sunday 16 Preached at Bell. Lunch at Pips n Cherries home for a nap. Put the hayrack in the yard ready for tomorrow. Watched Clarksons farm and then MotoGP.  Monday 17 Got in weaners and steers. Drafted out 30 more to sell 20 Steers and 10 Heifers. Washed the Ex 1 and packed. After lunch I rode to Toowoomba to Blood Bank then on to Moogerah dam for SRG. We met at the Boonah pub for dinner then on to the house.  Tuesday 18 SRG day devotions then personal stories from Peter E, Nathan Campbell and me. Played a board game after dinner. Cattle went.  Wednesday 19 SRG day 2 devotion and then life story from Gordon , Alan and Peter Davies finished off. Gordon and I went into town to shop for dinner tomorrow night. Alan cooked home grown roast lamb for dinner. Cattle sold well. 20186 gross for the truck load.  Thursday 20 SRG day 3 same morning routine. Week 85 9 - 15 Nov CRD91

Sunday 9 Church at Cooranga North. Adam preached. Lunch at Pips n Cherries then afternoon nap. Robyn packedcand went back to Toowoomba to take her mum to hospital for biopsy tomorrow. Dad and I watched a Clarkson's Farm and went to bed early.  Monday 10 Dalby CC to supervise Physics exam today. Peg had a biopsy on her kidneys and will be in hospital overnight. Robyn came home and did the washing. I went to bed early in the hope I can be rested enough to do an ironbutt this week.  Tuesday 11 Went out early and Mustered the heifers drafted out the 30 biggest one to send to the sale. Spent the rest of the day working on sermon. Cattle went about 3pm. I got gear together for Ironbutt ride tomorrow. Bed early about 7.30pm Wednesday 12 Left home about 2.15 and started ride in Dalby at 3am. Good for the first hour n a half to Miles. Week 84 2 - 8 November CRD88

Sunday 2 Very early start with the Butcher here before dawn. He Butcher and quatered three steers by 8am. It was 9.30 before I had tried up. Dad, Ian and Robyn went to church and I followed up in the ute. Trevor preached. After lunch at Pips n Cherries Robyn and I went straight to Kingaroy to the hospital so Robyn could have her wrist checked out. Dad and Ian followed a little behind and we all went to the Celebration of Life service for Ian Barron. Good event. Robyn was finished at the hospital as the service finished so she came to the afternoon tea. Ian does not want to sent any cattle to be lot feed at O'Brien's so we will sort weaners for sale on Wednesday. It was a big day home tried. To bed early for another exam day tomorrow. Monday 3 Dalby CC Modern History and Maths paper 1. Back home Robyn had the weaners most of the way to the yards. A cow who had just calved and a heifer got out on the middle back paddock. We drafted them out and ended with 15 steers and 13 Heifers...

Week 83 26 Oct - 1 Nov CRD84

Sunday 26 Church at Cooranga North. I lead and Allan preached. Then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Robyn got ready to go on calenders trip with Wendy and Maddie I watched some Supercars .Robyn left about 3pm. I adjusted the chain on to 500 before we had a storm. Bit of noise but not much rain for us. Dad and I watched a Clarksons farm before bed.  Monday 27 Relief at Dalby CC today. Cover Exam super and then I cover two year 8 math classes. Robyn had an eventful day on her bike ride. First one of the group fell over while getting the bikes out of the room and and damaged her wrist. Robyn had a dizzy spell after exerting herself moving a tree off the track and Wendy came a cropper when she spotted a snake going through a gateway. They are back in Esk tonight. It was a hot day today with a hot wind. Predicting rain tomorrow. I put on  slow cooker when I came home so we have lunches this week.  Tuesday 28 Dalby CC today. English and Vis Arts exams.
