Farm life 2024

Sunday 19 Stu and I went in and parked at Siberia parking and went in there. Stayed up there all day. Great day of racing. Joel came 2nd Sennea won Moto2 and unfortunately Jack fell of at turn 5 Raul Fernandez a Rookie won on the Trackhouse Aprilla. Sennea's win brought the first Australian national at Phillip Island since Casey Stoner in 2012. Good day  Went to the Philip Island Pub for dinner. Pretty tried tonight  Monday 20 Had breakfast before we left the island. Got away about 9am. Started to drizzle as we headed north. Not heavey but annoying and made the road wet. Went to visit a mate of Dave's Troy's dad at Yarra Glen. He had a big shed for us to park in and then he took us into town to have lunch at the pub. The rain has eased by then but we rode shortest route yo Merrijig tonight's stop. Troy and Stu rode up Mt Buller. We had dinner at the Hunt Hotel. Sunday 12 Quiet day at Ben and Nays. Watched Bathurst. Did a trip to Bunnings with Ben and Charlie. Help Ben replace his rain water pump. Picked up the bike from the old house. Slept on the couch. Packed some shelving in the ute to go to the farm. Robyn left about 7 and got home around 10pm. I sorted last bits for bike trip.  Monday 13 Met Stu at 7.30 Yamanto. Stopped at Legume, lunch at Bonalbo, fuel at Tenterfield, afternoon tea at Glenn Innes. Tonight's stop at Bendemeer. Darren and Kabel were there when we arrived. Dinner at the pub. Good start.  Tuesday 14 Very frosty morning. Tightened the steering head bearing a bit more the morning but to no avail. We got away about 8am,  Breakfast at Willow creek stop at Sandy Hollow, pie at Rylstone, a break in Bathurst then on to Crookwell for the night. Sunday 5 Bit tried today after all my reunionong. Dad has made a call he is not going anywhere until he has the stitches out of his nose. I packed the bike for MotoGP and went to church in Bell and then on the Ben and Nay's. Meridy came over. Ben showed me around the new house and later we went back and put up the clothes lines. We got word today the Ian Barron had passed away. Meridy stayed for dinner. I went to bed early. I was very tried.  Monday 6 Robyn and I were up at 4am to get to my 6am flight to Mackay. Robyn dropped me at the airport and then she went home. Got an exit row to Mackay. Anna and I went out to breakfast. Went back her place and had what turned into a productive day. Watched all three classes of MotoGP and the NRL grand final.  Wipe leather lounge down, removed metal flashing for plumber to complete kitchen hook up, sealed kitchen bench top and brought Anna's books up to date. Sunday 28 Made the call not to go to church today. We tidyed up and took asbestos sheets to the dump. Packed our gear and got stuff from the Dapplewood including halaconeas and tyre for the ute. Watched MotoGP in Japan too. Had a dinner from Andergrove store which is now $20. And packed the ute ready for an early start.  Monday 29 Left Mackay about 4.10am and arrived at the farm at 3.15pm. Stopped at Miriamvale and Wondia and got milk in Kumbia. Got home to a cow down at the trough at the other place. She was had it so I shot her and dragged her away. We need to muster and sort and reduce the number of stock. We will do that after MotoGP.  Tuesday 30 Finalised bookings for MotoGP and sent out costings. Went to Kingaroy. Tried to get a hair cut but it was not possible. Try in Dalby tomorrow. Went down to see campers and have a chat. Ethan who had a buster yesterday seems to be OK.
