Week 80 5-11October CRD77
Sunday 5
Bit tried today after all my reunionong. Dad has made a call he is not going anywhere until he has the stitches out of his nose. I packed the bike for MotoGP and went to church in Bell and then on the Ben and Nay's. Meridy came over. Ben showed me around the new house and later we went back and put up the clothes lines. We got word today the Ian Barron had passed away. Meridy stayed for dinner. I went to bed early. I was very tried.
Monday 6
Robyn and I were up at 4am to get to my 6am flight to Mackay. Robyn dropped me at the airport and then she went home. Got an exit row to Mackay. Anna and I went out to breakfast. Went back her place and had what turned into a productive day. Watched all three classes of MotoGP and the NRL grand final. Wipe leather lounge down, removed metal flashing for plumber to complete kitchen hook up, sealed kitchen bench top and brought Anna's books up to date. We started what will be an ongoing conversation into her financial planning plan. Anna and I went to GYG for dinner. Pleasant day. Talked to Robyn before bed. She said Ian had been talking to Heather Barron. Ian went out to feed the dog and died. Simple as that. There will be no funeral. He did not want one. Warren rang through the day too and he is doing the down and back trip with me now. I are meeting him at the hire car place at 7.30am tomorrow.
Tuesday 7
Picked up ute at 7.30am then got the trailer and headed back to school. We loaded the cars and stuff for the trip. We seem to be a bit light on but we think it is because we have refined it. I left a it 2pm and got some stickers from a business in Paget fit a dealt Usb C Usb cable a helmet bag and some deodorant. Saw Vicki Darminden in Mt P it was lovely to see her. Home to pack and rest ready for tomorrow.
Wednesday 8
Warren and I left Mackay about 4.20 and arrived at Lakeside Park about 12 hrs later. Had a good chat to Gordon on the way down and a brief chat with Barclie. He is taking the job in the US. Dropped of trailers and went to our usual motel and then to dinner at the pub down the road.
Thursday 9
After breakfast at our usual Cafe we dud some food shopping and then back to the track. Unloaded and went to drivers brief.
Kids showed up about 12pm and we all got a drive. Cars ran well. We need to adjust the throttle a bit to sort out lap time. One too fast the other a bit slow. Good to see the guys from Dalby again. Accomadation was 40 minutes away but very nice. Kids got some good at the track but they were still hungry so cooked again at the Big4. Bed by 10pm.
Friday 10
Race day. Day went well. The new car had a few dramas but keeper going most of the day. We packed up after and made it to Gympie by 6.30pm. Nice day out. Enjoyed time with the kids too. In the morning g I had a good chat to Stuart who confirmed he is good for MotpGP and filled me in a bit on the court decision about the church. It was not all bas and pretty much what they had expected.
Saturday 11
Left Gympie at 4 arrived in Macaky at 2.30pm. Unloaded and returned ute and trailer. Anna took me to the Airport but they would not change my flight had to ring Qantas. I dud that and they would not make the change either. Called Anna to take me home. Rang again to see if I could move to the 9.15 Jetstar flight. Got a more helpful person and they made t happened. Got back to Ben and Nay's about midnight. Please to be back and see Robyn before heading to MotoGP on Monday. Has long yarns today with Anna and Darren along the way.
