Week 39 22 - 28 December

Sunday 22 Calf bellowing under the bedroom window the morning. It appears that one of the heifers we put into weaners paddock has a calf. Paul a d I went for a look and we could not work out which one. We went to church. I preached today. Paul and Jill went home from church. When we got home we had some lunch and a nap and woke to calf bellowing again. A look at the weaners paddock revealed a heifer with a large full udder. With a little patience we were able to bring her in and draft her out and return her to her calf. In true farm form we also found the the balltap on the mill tank was broken and the power supply to the bore pump was out. A call Logan and then to ergon and a reporposeing other broken ball tap parts saw both problems resolved before bed. The old buggy battery blew up yesterday I made a call to Chris and we yarned for an hour. This has happened before it was the regulator. His told me to cal QB4 in Toowoomba to get another. Ben rang to say they were going to come up a ...
