Week 13 23 - 29 June

Sunday 23   Setout from Charter Towers about 6.30. Temp 8 degrees. Breakfast at Belyando Crossing. Short stop at Capella and lunch in Emerald. Fuel in Rolleston. Short stop at memorial on the Bauhinia Downs road arrived at Taroom for the night about 5pm. Stayed at the Leichardt Hotel motel rooms and nice dinner in room warmed by wood fire.  Monday 24 Cold start today 2 degrees. We left about 8am and had a pie at the Bakery in Miles for breakfast. Arrive home about 11.30. Kate was here. She had come over that morning from Peg's. Chantel came down from next door. They had killed a pig for someone else and they did not come and get it so they gave it to Dad. Robyn and Kate had to pack it and put it in the freezer. Dad had a corn meat on for lunch. Week 12 16 - 22 June

Sunday 16 Breakfast at Foreshore. Robyn stayed at the unit today. She sorted the washing. I went to Supercars. Big crash at the start of the race but very little action after that. Picked Robyn up after races and meet Warren and Kez and her mum at the  Mindil Beach Markets. Impressive range of food and stalls. Came home and and went to bed to early ready to start travelling again tomorrow.  Monday 17 Left Darwin about 8am and arrived at  Mataranka about 3.30pm Breakfast at Cafe in Adelaide River and Lunch in Katherine. Arrived to a call from Cerise to say Bevan had resigned as principal at MCC. This lead to a series of calls and texts. Still made it to the hot springs and floated down the steam 3 times very refreshing and relaxing. Dinner at the open air dining area at The Territory Manor good food and great environment. Week 11 9 - 16 June

Sunday 9 Church at Cooranga North. Adam preached and I opened. Alan and Peter where both away. The Brendan O'Brien's came. Nice family. Had a good chat with the ??? lads Came home for lunch and afternoon nap. Got through some of the jobs on this week's list. Changed address on our super funds. Changed Robyn's address at the bank. Setup Garmin and Google Maps for trip. Setup up new helmet. Sun visor must have been broken during painting. Fitted coms and pinlock. Updated firmware on coms and gps. Got bags out to pack. Robyn and I when for a ride and shuts gates so the cattle on the hill have to water at the other place. Cool all day today wind in the west.  Monday 10 Spent morning setting up spotwalla and spot trip links etc and washing.  Robyn cook roast lamb she found cleaning out the freezer for lunch. Week 10 2 - 8 June

Sunday 2 Church in Bell, Lunch and Pips n Cherries. Home to chase the bull out of the house yard. Thought we could get the cattle from the back in the mill paddock but they beat us again and have headed around the hill to towards the other place. Darryl Ramsey came for a visit. Watched MotoGP  Monday 3 Washing day. Started work on books for May. One of the steers we have been keeping near the house is missing this morning. I spent a fair bit of time riding up the back looking for it. Dad and Robyn found it in the front paddock. We will have to bring it up tomorrow. Did some bill paying too in prep before we head to Darwin. Check and restock mouse baits. Millet container is fine and in the garden shed. Moved a Millet one to the laundry. Had to restock the carport one. The one in the tool shed in getting down.
