Week 10 2 - 8 June

Sunday 2
Church in Bell, Lunch and Pips n Cherries. Home to chase the bull out of the house yard. Thought we could get the cattle from the back in the mill paddock but they beat us again and have headed around the hill to towards the other place. Darryl Ramsey came for a visit. Watched MotoGP
Monday 3
Washing day. Started work on books for May. One of the steers we have been keeping near the house is missing this morning. I spent a fair bit of time riding up the back looking for it. Dad and Robyn found it in the front paddock. We will have to bring it up tomorrow. Did some bill paying too in prep before we head to Darwin. Check and restock mouse baits. Millet container is fine and in the garden shed. Moved a Millet one to the laundry. Had to restock the carport one. The one in the tool shed in getting down. Dave brought the Tractor back.
Tuesday 4
Pulled the new faulty usb port of the explorer and smashed as requested by supplier and sent them and picture. Hope to get a new one before I leave for  Darwin. Went to Kingaroy, Dad went to the physio. Rang Ian, Thalia and Russel while I was in town. Asked Russel to think about coming to MotoGP with me. Washed the van Steer still down the front and 4 cows and heifer on the hill. Paid bills. Rang Matt and left a message.
Wednesday 5
Productive day. Brought Tractor buckets and up to yards and put forks on the tractor.  Put remaining 2 bales of hay in the yards. Brought the runaway steer back up into the yard.  Robyn, Dad and I all on the job. Put all the killer steers in to the yards ready for Saturday. Trimmed the hedge and took cuttings to the bonfire pile. Replaced the tyre on the old buggy and blew the removed tyre up. Looks like it might be a very small leak over time no repair required. Put new tyre wheels on the explorer, replaced the throttle grip. Took the whipper snipper and cut grass at Barri gateway and Callemondah front gate. Went up to see Noel and Cheryl but they were not home.  Rang Alan Mosling to see how he was - he is much better been working on his lantana. need to get some training from him. Rang Noel and ask him to do a reading on Sunday. Pumped water. Dad and I opened the gate some the 4 cows and heifer could come into the paddock at the other place.
Thursday 6
Went to Farm Fest. Lots of stuff talked to a bloke about solar pumps and got some ideas looking at $7500. Met people. Ian and Jayne, Chris and Ebony and her friend, Dave, Wendy and Trevor and Camille. Locky, Paul Willis and Lynn and David Knott were there too but did not see them. Came home to the Hill cows and heifer at the mill but I could not get there to lock them in.  Bill and Judy Corbett came to visit and stayed the night.
Friday 7
Bill and Judy left about 9.30 and I checked tank above dairy and found a solution to repair pipe. I went to mill tanks and repaired leaking tee there. The tank is running over there. Dad and I agree that the non return value to the high tank above the old house must be leaking. Dad asked Ian to bring a replacement. When to Dalby to the Doctor for Dad arrived at 11.30 to find appointment was at 11. They reschedule for 10.30am tomorrow. Robyn had an appointment at 1.40pm so she changed hers to 5 July. The mess was redeemed by a very nice lunch at Pips n Cherries. Greg Johnston's and his wife were there. He is Keith Johnston's uncle now retired at Highfields. Came home to cattle down but again I could not catch them in the mill paddock. Practiced online meeting plan with Anna and then had my first mentoring meeting with Lindy. Ian arrived about 11pm ready for butcher in the morning.
Saturday 8
Up early with Ian. Butcher arrived about 5.50am. Together we had 3 of the 4 head we had held back in the cold room by 8.30.
Robyn took Dad to his appointment in Dably. Ian and I dumped the offal and I checked the mouse baits and restocked. We met Dad and Robyn at Pips n Cherries for lunch. I went on to Wendy and Trevor's to help with they shed. We did the fascia flashing and the gutter before it started getting dark. Home be 6.15pm. Bit tried tonight.
