Farm life 2024

Sunday 15 Most of the day at Wendy and Trevor's eating and yarning. Drizzled all day. Pack up camper and headed home about 4.30pm spent some of the day watching 12hr. Back home I managed to get last heifer out of the bull paddock. Preped for work tomorrow.  Monday 16 Teach in Jandowae and setup for being away next week. Battled with the kids a bit today. Have to work on that. Came home and became clear weaning this afternoon was not a thing. Dad and I drove around the paddocks and decided to open up back hill and not improved pasture. Will use that after weaning and use the bull paddock to draw them down again. Checked the cull cattle and they seem to have plenty of grass. Might use that improved pasture from weaners. Started oil change in Ex2.  Tuesday 17 Completed oil change and rode up the back to check gate on the hill was shut. It was and measured 60pts in the rain gauge up there. Sunday 8 Went up to church early and put up a new sign. Church at Cooranga North and then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Adam preached. Ian and Jayne came and went home after. Came home and had a nap then put my bike back together. New steering head bearings and no difference. I will try the forks off the other bike. Did some reading in prep for Leader in Me tomorrow.  Monday 9 Teach in Jandowae. Felt like today I made some progress. Robyn had the busy day. Washing, cooked dad's favourite lunch corn beef and veges with white sauces. Cooked a birthday cake, picked up some bales of hay from Kumbia, went to Bible Study. I got home and started on getting the bulls in. She came a helped. We cleaned out the hay rack and then it was dark. Bulls go to sale tomorrow.  Tuesday 10 Dalby CC for relief. Sunday 1 Out of toilet water again. Found a split pipe up near the tank. Repaired it after Church. Church in Bell with Committee of Management after. Meeting took 1.5hrs got to lunch at Pips n Cherries about 1pm Dad was done. Home by 2pm. Afternoon nap. News that Val Dawson had passed away. Robyn had a long yarn with Gail McCubben. I chatted to Stu about Moto GP plans. Paid bill for Dapplewood and for Dad.  Monday 2 First day in Jandowae. Went OK. Bit of flying by the seat of your pants. Came home in front of a big storm but it did not really rain at home. Robyn had a big day washing and cleaning up the area at the back door. Water in a big downpour while we were away was a layer of slot all over it and through the laundry. Finished the day planning my ironbutt run to WSBK.  Tuesday 3 Robyn went to Dalby CC to help with swimming carnival. Dad and I went to town. I completed my Dalby CC mandatory training. Sunday 25 Went to church today. Had lunch after at the Andergrove Taven. Had an afternoon nap at Dapplewood as we sold bar stools. First sale. Did some shopping and saw Jia and Jay Ellen Wright. Went out for icecream and bumped into Charli Dixon Camden and Keley. Saw Heliana and Kolassa and Lidda Kofe. Nice to catch up.  Monday 26 Concreted border done first up this morning. Signed up agent for rental of house Cheryl MRE. Moved furniture into the shed including piano and fridge. Secured paver stack and fence. Anna gernied of outdoor setting which we will leave in rental. Pulled handle off compactor plate and tap off brick saw. Had a look for parts today but no luck will try supercheap tomorrow. Sold tall boy and table. Secured Anna's fence and fixed top of her personal gate when we got home. Good day.  Tuesday 27 Moved Kate's stuff at Anna's house to free up flat space. Spread sand on pavers and compacted.
