Week 98 8-14February CRD8

Sunday 8
Went up to church early and put up a new sign. Church at Cooranga North and then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Adam preached. Ian and Jayne came and went home after. Came home and had a nap then put my bike back together. New steering head bearings and no difference. I will try the forks off the other bike. Did some reading in prep for Leader in Me tomorrow.
Monday 9
Teach in Jandowae. Felt like today I made some progress. Robyn had the busy day. Washing, cooked dad's favourite lunch corn beef and veges with white sauces. Cooked a birthday cake, picked up some bales of hay from Kumbia, went to Bible Study. I got home and started on getting the bulls in. She came a helped. We cleaned out the hay rack and then it was dark. Bulls go to sale tomorrow.
Tuesday 10
Dalby CC for relief. Robyn loaded bulls and unloaded hay. Shower of rain on the way home so I got home pretty wet. Went to bed early feeling pretty tried. Chopped a few weeds in the laneway and opened gates so we can start bring cattle down from the back.
Wednesday 11
Robyn set off for town pretty early. To shop and get hair cut. Dave showed up with the Bull about 9.30am. We unloaded the bull and load a ton of millet bags and then had morning tea and a birthday cake with Dad. Started trapping cattle as they came down for water. We put the Bull.on with the steers and then put them over at the other place while we sorted the cattle.
Pulled the front wheel off my other Explorer to find shocks the same so I put both bikes back together. Still need to do the screen and oil change on Explorer2. Poor nights sleep as cattle bellowed all night. May need to change the plan as their is prediction of significant rain on Friday.
Thursday 12
Robyn got a call into Bell to teach year 6 and then a call to Dalby. Went to Bell. Worked on bringing cattle down from the back and think now I have them all except a heifer with calving paralysis and a calf. There are three that jumped the fence we have not yet got to rejoin the herd in the bull paddock. As there was a storm building we just put all the cattle in the yard for a while and then let them go.
Friday 13
Robyn amd I both got a call for Dalby CC today. It was meant to be raining and it did but not much where we were. More in Taroom and Wandoan and Northern NSW. When we got home there was two more cows and calves down from the top paddock. We managed to get them and the three who had jumped the fence into the yard. We checked on the bull and he was on top of the hill in the behind Jimbour Creek paddock. So he can climb hills. In all this Robyn dropped her phone. We found it butca cow stood on it and broke the screen. Lead to an evening of drama as she could not remember her DCC password so she could do he time sheet. Annoying.
Saturday 14
Focus today is getting Wendy's Valentines day / birthday party at the Goombungee Hall. Robyn made a large fried rice. I went to see if I could find the heifer and calf left behind. No sign but I found a heifer on her own in the bull paddock on the way home - after I pur the fence back up. She can stay there till we get back. Left home about 12pm went straight to Toowoomba and took Robyn's phone to be fixed. New screen and all good. Had lunch and shopped for a few things for the party while the fixing was happening. Arrived at Wendy and Trevor's at 5.30 setup Bonnie Doon and dressed.  I'll and Julie arrived. Got to the hall at 6.30pm. Good fun night. I went home early. In bed by 10 everyone else got home about 1.30am.
