Farm life 2024

Sunday 18 Went to Church. More people this week. Nice to catchup. We had lunch at Mt P taven with Lindy and Dinner with Lynn. Good catchups. Used the day to run the washing through too.  Monday 19 Today we focused on the yards mowed Anna's first and then Dapplewood. Took a load of green waste away from each. After lunch we went back to Dapplewood. Robyn blew everything off and I removed gyprock from behind the fridge and treated it with chlorine. Ordered wackapacker handle rubbers and got an air cleaner and spark plug on our way home. Arranged for Zach to preach at Cooranga North so I did not have to rush home. Had a call from Marie today. She would like me to work full time until Roxy is back at work. 4weeks or 7 weeks.  Tuesday 20 Worked on preparing and laying second half of the house part of the driveway. Sunday 11 Went to church this morning at Mackay. Only 9 people there because of the cyclone. Not so much rain in town but a lot upbthe valley. Flooding in the Valley. Emily Clifford's place had water through it. Had fish and chips for lunch and a quiet rest day. Started some research for my next sermon series. Anna is at Ben and Nays.  Monday 12 Finished pulling up pavers. Showed some people through the house potential renters Donated blood and picked up mini excavator. Anna started at QUT masters and Ben and Nay on holiday with Kim and Al. Tuesday 13 Started on mini excavator. It was clear ot was not the tool for the job and I was not much of a driver. Mark Dreghorn came over and he ran a bobcat operator which turned out the be Dave Zammit. Best operator in Mackay with the wet weather he could come Thursday or Friday. Sunday 4 Polished Anna's car and washed 500 before church in Bell. Trevor preached and had Communion.  Dad did not come. He was feeling a bit seedy after yesterday's party. Came home for lunch and a big nap. Anna and I moved the camera at the dairy to see if we could get it closer to the road to recognise cars approaching. Pumped water to tank at the other place.  Monday 5 Washed the scooter and yellow quad before breakfast. Robyn worked through a big wash. After breakfast we packed up Boonie Doon and put her in the truck shed. I did Anna's bookwork Robyn pack up the Christmas tree. After lunch I washed Explorer 1 and sorted the quad lock mount. I brought Ex 2 down and it started to rain. Storms about but we had drizzle. Sunday 28 Preached at Cooranga North.  Will and Laura were there. Great to see them. Had lunch up the Bunya Mountains. Got home to find the cattle had come through the house yard to the paddock behind the piggery. They would not come out easy so will have to try again tomorrow. Took tractor and slasher over to the otherplace and slashed the blade grass and the flat next to Drew's on the roadside of Jimbour Creek. Then returned the linkage arms to Drew's.  Monday 29 Up early Anna drove Robyn and I to Toowoomba. I donated blood 21 for the year. My goal. We then went and saw Peg. Got home about 12.30pm. Greg came out for a ride with Ian. Had an afternoon nap. Had a go at getting cattle back without success. Locked the gates some they had to come for water at the house.
