Week 92 28 Dec - 3 Jan

Sunday 28
Preached at Cooranga North.  Will and Laura were there. Great to see them. Had lunch up the Bunya Mountains. Got home to find the cattle had come through the house yard to the paddock behind the piggery. They would not come out easy so will have to try again tomorrow. Took tractor and slasher over to the otherplace and slashed the blade grass and the flat next to Drew's on the roadside of Jimbour Creek. Then returned the linkage arms to Drew's. 
Monday 29
Up early Anna drove Robyn and I to Toowoomba. I donated blood 21 for the year. My goal. We then went and saw Peg. Got home about 12.30pm. Greg came out for a ride with Ian. Had an afternoon nap. Had a go at getting cattle back without success. Locked the gates some they had to come for water at the house. Captured about 10 head this way and returned them to the front. 
Tuesday 30
Dad woke not feeling great and decided not to go to town. Robyn and Ian went in. Anna and I fixed quad. tried to moved cattle back again with no success, then put up cameras up two on a pole between the houses and two on the dairy. Had to trim some trees to clear vision. About 4.30 Anna and I went out and had another go at getting cattle in  Had a successful trip this time and got them all through on to the water and back down the front. Took Ian for a tour of the farm. He agreed to gates and fencing of holding paddock behind the house. Zac and Lou showed up on dark with their van. Lou the dog, Nala and Murphy got into a fight and Murphy got a puncher wound in his leg. Anna contacted Hannah and they sorted a repair job but it meant another late night. 
Wednesday 31
Anna went into Dalby early thus morning to het super glue to repair Murphy's wound. It did a really good job. Ian organised a ride with Chris and Zach joined us. Anna did not come because she was a bit worn with Murphy stuff. We had breakfast up the mountain. Had a sleep when we got home and then Anna, Robyn and I went to Wendy's for Micah's 21st and New Year's. Good night. Enjoyed seeing everyone. Peg was able to come out of hospital. Was still pretty tried very pleased to have Anna to drive home. Got into bed about 2am. 
Thursday 1
Gas Bottle ran out today. 2months. Late start. Did some work on Anna's bookwork.  Specsavers was open today so I went in and picked up glasses. Ben and Nay arrived after going to see Peg. Great to see them. Lucy was keen to go for a picnic as some as she arrived. Robyn took her and Charlie. Anna, Ben and I washed the red quads. We got the little quad out fir Lucy and Charle to ride. 
Friday 2
Had a go at starting the Loader to find the starter was missing. We check the tyres on the yellow quad that kept going flat but could not find any holes. Had a sleep after lunch. Been really tried. Not going to bed early enough. Jenny Lee and Elise arrives about 4.30pm. We setup Bonnie Doon. Anna, Ben, Charlie, Lucy and I put the cull cows back out on the hill above dairy. Dad found a dead cow at the front so Ben and I dragged it to the otherplace before it started to smell. Think it might be a snake bite. 
Saturday 3
Anna and Ben and Charlie and Lucy checked all the cattle were out of the spring and we put the fence back up and opened up Green Grove and the paddock behind the piggery. Next was Aunty Clarice's 90th. A very nice day. Great to catch up either the cousins all of Joe's family, all of Ron's family and all of Rob's family showed up. Very enjoyable event. Ben and Nay left while we were away. Had an afternoon nap and then Jenny Lee and Elise left. Anna and I washed her car and the ute. Watched Rowan Atkinson's Man v Baby series on Netflixs.

Week 68 13 - 20 July CRD 57 Wk2 Europe.

Sunday 13 Last day of Super Bikes. Better day for Aussies Talya came 7th and Tara 20th WCR and Remi 9th in SBK and Ollie Baylass 13th . His team mate came second again. Met a bloke who was a Jack Miller fan and we yarned between races.  Robyn and Kate had a great day and went to visit Chatsworth House the inspiration for Jane Austin's Pemberly House in Pride and Prejudice. Came back to accomdation at Hartshorne and they were having a Pizza night with live music. Small group about 30 people good fun and good evening. We got out washing done too.  Monday 14 Dried our washing and then headed to York. Thought we would take the non motorway roads but it was not fun just congestion. So we M1ed it. York was amazing. Old buildings very close together. Could spend ages there. We then went open to Thirsk for the night. Visited the Yorkshire Vet building. James Heriot centre was shut. Week 83 26 Oct - 1 Nov CRD84

Sunday 26 Church at Cooranga North. I lead and Allan preached. Then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Robyn got ready to go on calenders trip with Wendy and Maddie I watched some Supercars .Robyn left about 3pm. I adjusted the chain on to 500 before we had a storm. Bit of noise but not much rain for us. Dad and I watched a Clarksons farm before bed.  Monday 27 Relief at Dalby CC today. Cover Exam super and then I cover two year 8 math classes. Robyn had an eventful day on her bike ride. First one of the group fell over while getting the bikes out of the room and and damaged her wrist. Robyn had a dizzy spell after exerting herself moving a tree off the track and Wendy came a cropper when she spotted a snake going through a gateway. They are back in Esk tonight. It was a hot day today with a hot wind. Predicting rain tomorrow. I put on  slow cooker when I came home so we have lunches this week.  Tuesday 28 Dalby CC today. English and Vis Arts exams. Week 69 20-27 July CRD57 W3 Europe

Sunday 20 Started the day with a visit to Kelpies on the North East of Falkirk. These huge art installation of two houses heads represent images of the Scottish mythical beast the Kelpie a water creature that looks like a horse. Very impressive. More driving in the beautiful Scottish countryside to our breakfast spot Tinto Hills Tearooms near Thankerton. Here I met a motorcyclist enjoying a ride and a Sunday morning coffee. Really think I need to come back and ride here. Next we visited Hadrain's wall or the ruins of part of it. It was the Romans Defence line across English to keep the Scots out. Originally 4 metres high what we saw was part of the foundations. The view of the English countryside was picturebook idyllic. Next we went to Lockerbie to see and reflect on the event of the Lockerbie bombing where a bombed PanAm jet literally fell out of the sky in 1988. The site were three houses were destroyed and 11 people on the ground killed is now a reflective garden. The momentum ...
