Week 81 12-19 Oct MotoGP CRD77
Sunday 12
Quiet day at Ben and Nays. Watched Bathurst. Did a trip to Bunnings with Ben and Charlie. Help Ben replace his rain water pump. Picked up the bike from the old house. Slept on the couch. Packed some shelving in the ute to go to the farm. Robyn left about 7 and got home around 10pm. I sorted last bits for bike trip.
Monday 13
Met Stu at 7.30 Yamanto. Stopped at Legume, lunch at Bonalbo, fuel at Tenterfield, afternoon tea at Glenn Innes. Tonight's stop at Bendemeer. Darren and Kabel were there when we arrived. Dinner at the pub. Good start.
Tuesday 14
Very frosty morning. Tightened the steering head bearing a bit more the morning but to no avail. We got away about 8am, Breakfast at Willow creek stop at Sandy Hollow, pie at Rylstone, a break in Bathurst then on to Crookwell for the night. Everyone had their struggle moments today but we all managed OK. Kaleb was keen to visit the Bathurst track. We will do that on the way home.
Wednesday 15
Today started well left Crookwell and headed for the Hume which I missed while talking to Robyn. Had to go back 15k. Breakfast at Crookwell. Turned off the Hume at Holbrook and headed for MittaMitta. Stopped about halfway up the Omeo hwy for a break and let the others who were clearly faster than me lead. Kelab took his eye off the road for a second and put his Super Duke over the side about 20m down. He was coming back to the top when Darren and I arrived. Stu who had been following him did not see him and rode past. Kebab was fine he has a sore and swollen wrist and a couple of bruises.i when down and got his gear and some other bikers stopped and help us take it back to Omeo. Kelab pinned the location on bike. Darren took him to the medical centre and they suggested he get it xrayed in Bairnsdale tomorrow. We stayed at Snug as a Bug. Good stop. Walked to the pub for dinner.
Thursday 16
A slow start while Darren sorted out what has to happen for insurance etc. He organised to get the bike recovered and spoke with police and insurance. We head off with Kalebs gear redistributed. Darren took Kaleb to the Hospital where they found a hairline break and plastered his arm. Stu and I went on arriving in Cowes about 5.30pm and Darren and Kabel joined us about 9.15pm. Good outcome all considered.
Friday 17
Up early to go to Frankston to donate blood then to the Mornington Pier for an LoSoP meeting and then on to see Thalia and Georgie. I met the others at the track about 3.30 in time for P2 for MotoGP. Did not leave til late after a good look through displays etc.
Saturday 18
Stu and I went to the track early and Darren and Kelab waited for Troy and Dave to arrive. Stu picked up ear plugs from the Ear mould guys and then we had a go at the Spoke's quiz. Stu won and was third overall for weekend so far. Later he got notification that he and 5 of his friends had won a paddock tour. It was great we got to go in behind the sheds to see the process with a guide who knew her stuff. Good day on the track too. Jack P3 on MotoGP grid. Senna P2 on Moto2 and Joel pole in Moto3. Came back to Cowes for dinner at Pinos. Great day.
