Week 15 7 - 13 July

Sunday 7
When to church in Bell. Trevor preached. Alan and Ruth had lots of funny stories about Pegs hospital room mate. She had been their neighbour. We went to Pips n Cherries for lunch and Paul and Jill joined us. Nice to catchup with them. Home about 2.30 and watch Townsville Supercars on now clear Kayo. And layer MotoGP. Watched an episode of Clarkson Farm with Dad. Nice relaxing day.
Monday 8
Sorted Skylink install so it comes through the roof now and not over the gutter and through the window. Just need to put some ducting inside now. Worked on book work for EOFY. Happy that us all I can do for now. Found sermon on Revelation 7 I will use for this weekend. Had a brief look at MEQ workshop stuff. Need to work on that tomorrow. Dad and I took a ride up the back and over the hill. Cattle who were in the spring paddock seem to have found their way back to herd. Robyn went to Bible Study in Bell. Did some washing for Dad. Felt like I made progress today.
Tuesday 9
Kingaroy today. Little bit of rain overnight. Shut the gate from the mill to back hill and shut the gate to the back above the spring. Plan is to encourage cattle to access water through the bull paddock. Nice day in town. I got a hair cut and Robyn and Dad when to Coppards. Had a big yarn there and Dad ordered a new hat. Got fuel, shopped and had coffee at IGA on the way home. We saw Aunty Clarise at Jamica Blue. Anna drove Kate's car back to Mackay today after a meeting at Gympie. I completed a draft of my seconded last Mentoring Assignment for meeting tomorrow. Found a sermon for Sunday too. Felt a little bit off today.
Wednesday 10
Focus today was MEQ Mentoring Workshop. Took from 9 - 2pm is the second last event. After this Robyn and I went up the back and repaired some fences. Mistake for today. I cut a prickly pear tree off the fence. While pushing the tree back through the fence a leaf broke off and sprung by the barb wire fence straight back in my face. Fortunately I had safety glasses on. Robyn picked the needles out of my cheeks and lips. No nice. We walked the top end of the spring too. Dad's cleaner came today too.
Thursday 11
Dad had a doctors appointment in Dably this morning with Doctor Jack. He has had pain in his foot that is keeping him awake. Turns out to be an infection. Robyn had some blood test and an ultrasound to have done some she went in with him and I stayed home and worked on my message for Sunday. Met Dad and Robyn in Bell for lunch. Came home and changed the oil and filter in the bike and gave it a wash. Shut the gate to keep cattle off hill and send them through the bull paddock to back of the farm on Pickering side. When for a ride later and it looks like there is about 10 head still on the hill. Put some washing through during the day.
Friday 12
I left about 8am on the bike for Toowoomba to donate blood. Afterwards Logan met me for lunch. I got home about 3pm and Robyn and I put a bit of time into opening gates and moving cattle which result in us bring a mob more down from the hill. We left gates in the hope we could get the rest on Monday.
Saturday 13
Robyn and I left about 6.30 to ride to Katrina's. Robyn spent the day with Katrina and her mum while Nathan and I took Tom and Hugo with us to Australian Superbike in Warwick. Good day but it was pretty cold. The highlight for the day was a couple of bike crashed into too separate incidence a the machines landed right near the spectator fence. The boys were right on the spot for all the action. Riders were not hurt thankfully. Got back to Katrina and Nathan's about 5.15 and home about 7.30pm. Pretty cool but good ride.
