Week 17 21 - 27 July

Sunday 21
Church in Bell. Paul M preached. Lunch at Pips n Cherries. Home to pack to head to Mackay. Zach and Lousie and the kids showed up. They had been in Dalby for a 30th. Zach came to get the spray rig and take it back. I helped him load it and Robyn and Dad headed off in the van. Dad is going to Jenny Lee's for the week. I was about 30mins behind them. I dropped Nala at Maddie's on the way through and arrived at Jenny Lee and Bruce's about 7.30.
Monday 22
We left Bundy about 8am. Dropped motorcycle tyres in Rocky to a gu who needs them to ride to motoGP. Good to yarn with him. We had lunch fueled in Yamba and arrived in Mackay about 5pm. Great to see Anna. We had Hello Fresh for dinner. After dinner we had a call with Kate for her birthday in US and she opened her presents with us. 
Tuesday 23
Meet with Mike from Enlightened Financial services it was interesting and worthwhile but they wanted to charge 8000 a year for service and I felt it was just too much. We will try someone else. From here to Dapplewood. We cut down the three corner palm and mowed the grass then took that load to the dump. Came back and collected another load of leaf litter. Headed to Anna's shower and went to tea with Bill and Judy at Lynn's for fish and chips. 
Wednesday 24
Strated the day mowing Anna's then back to Dapplewood to take out the fox tail palm. It was a big load to the dump. We came back via Bunnings where we got more humidity crystals and had lunch. We had to go to autobarn for a gas bottle holder. Back to Dapplewood to install and start looking for stuff we want to take back from the shed. I took the scooter and went to Chiro and then to Maccas to met with Lindy. We came back to Goosie at 5 where Cerise had planned a surprise party for Robyn's birthday. Heap of people from school came. It was a very nice night. 
Thursday 25
Robyn and I went separate ways today. She caught up with Michelle and Cerise at school and then had lunch before heading to school where I met her beliefly.  I went and saw Noel and Sandy Cowan then Mark Dreghorn. I then rang Steve Downs for what turned into quite a long yarn. I picked up Robyn's computer from her while she was at coffee club. On my way out I bumped into Grace Watson who is now working at Wallace and Wallace . From there I went to school to see Brett and get our computers sorted. Ian Fanning rang as I finished with Brett. I had some questions from Tuesday financial planning discussion run by him. Came off the phone to be greeted by a heap of seniors and Michelle. Went with them to TTC saw Warren then the Electrican rang to meet me at Sunita to sort exhaust fans and power points. Checked out some leaky taps while I was there. Met Seth who came home while we were there. From here I went out the see James amd Ros Murdoch. They might come and see us in September break. Then back to Anna's for another Hello Fresh meal and a quiet night. Anna and Robyn made cinnamon scrolls as a sweet snack. 
Friday 26
Started the day donating blood. Robyn came and did whole blood too. It was good to see the Mackay team. From there Robyn went back to Anna's to pack and I went and got the bike shock absorber I ordered some time ago and then went to school to see the exec office people and rtlc. Had a good chat with Mel and Dani and Tonia. It was great. School numbers were static on Senior campus although inquiries for 2025 are low at present. Tonia was singing Amy's praise. Offered to come up and put sets together in 2025. On the way out I rang Bruce Read the plumber and he was keen to do the work at Dapplewood and Sunita today. When back and found Morne and chatted to him about on going renting and accessing the house for the plumber. Rang Ange. She was home to let them in there. Met Robyn and Anna at the shed and we packed the ute. Ange and Boysie were home so we  chatted to them. It was 1.20pm as we drove out of town. Met Troy on his way to back to Mackay in Rocky for tea. He was with Jack who had brought a new car. Arrivedxat Maddie and Ro's about 10.15pm
Saturday 27
Slow start from Maddie and Ro's. Yarned over breakfast and left about 11. Lunch with Jenny Lee and Bruce before leaving for the farm. Got home about 5.30pm.

Week 68 13 - 20 July CRD 57 Wk2 Europe.

Sunday 13 Last day of Super Bikes. Better day for Aussies Talya came 7th and Tara 20th WCR and Remi 9th in SBK and Ollie Baylass 13th . His team mate came second again. Met a bloke who was a Jack Miller fan and we yarned between races.  Robyn and Kate had a great day and went to visit Chatsworth House the inspiration for Jane Austin's Pemberly House in Pride and Prejudice. Came back to accomdation at Hartshorne and they were having a Pizza night with live music. Small group about 30 people good fun and good evening. We got out washing done too.  Monday 14 Dried our washing and then headed to York. Thought we would take the non motorway roads but it was not fun just congestion. So we M1ed it. York was amazing. Old buildings very close together. Could spend ages there. We then went open to Thirsk for the night. Visited the Yorkshire Vet building. James Heriot centre was shut. When to Kings Arms Hotel in the next village for dinner.  Tuesday 15 Today we headed to Scarborough...

Week 83 26 Oct - 1 Nov CRD84

Sunday 26 Church at Cooranga North. I lead and Allan preached. Then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Robyn got ready to go on calenders trip with Wendy and Maddie I watched some Supercars .Robyn left about 3pm. I adjusted the chain on to 500 before we had a storm. Bit of noise but not much rain for us. Dad and I watched a Clarksons farm before bed.  Monday 27 Relief at Dalby CC today. Cover Exam super and then I cover two year 8 math classes. Robyn had an eventful day on her bike ride. First one of the group fell over while getting the bikes out of the room and and damaged her wrist. Robyn had a dizzy spell after exerting herself moving a tree off the track and Wendy came a cropper when she spotted a snake going through a gateway. They are back in Esk tonight. It was a hot day today with a hot wind. Predicting rain tomorrow. I put on  slow cooker when I came home so we have lunches this week.  Tuesday 28 Dalby CC today. English and Vis Arts exams. Week 69 20-27 July CRD57 W3 Europe

Sunday 20 Started the day with a visit to Kelpies on the North East of Falkirk. These huge art installation of two houses heads represent images of the Scottish mythical beast the Kelpie a water creature that looks like a horse. Very impressive. More driving in the beautiful Scottish countryside to our breakfast spot Tinto Hills Tearooms near Thankerton. Here I met a motorcyclist enjoying a ride and a Sunday morning coffee. Really think I need to come back and ride here. Next we visited Hadrain's wall or the ruins of part of it. It was the Romans Defence line across English to keep the Scots out. Originally 4 metres high what we saw was part of the foundations. The view of the English countryside was picturebook idyllic. Next we went to Lockerbie to see and reflect on the event of the Lockerbie bombing where a bombed PanAm jet literally fell out of the sky in 1988. The site were three houses were destroyed and 11 people on the ground killed is now a reflective garden. The momentum ...
