Week 21 18 - 24 August

Sunday 18
Second day of Bell Trial Ride. Longer track today. Because everyone is there now there was not as staggered a start as yesterday so is was a lot busier. Had one big off going over a log and hit my head on an over hanging fallen tree. Did not even know what hit me. Fortunately I am OK. Finished packed up and head to Pips n Cherries fie lunch with Dad and Robyn. They had been to church. Alan M preached. Had a call with Anna about selling her car. Looks like sge has a buyer at the right price. Finished the day watching the last episode of Clarkson Farm session 1. 
Monday 19
Robyn and Dad went to Dalby so Dad could have his leg dressed. I worked on message for next Sunday, mowed grass, sprayed weeds and mill tanks area, put out washing, reset mouse baits, removed rest of the tree fallen near the road and moved car from dairy to top house with tractor and forks. 
Tuesday 20
Teaching at DCC, Robyn finishes washing and sorted food while we will be away. We met In Dalby at Julie and Bill's. Left the bike there and came on to Brisbane. Filled bike it had done 3 trips to Dalby and back and a little bit 380k. Arrived at Ben and Nays about 6pm. 
Wednesday 21,
Went to Book week dressed parade at kids school. Great event. Robyn dressed up in her green dress. Tiles for Ben and Nay's patio showed up and help unload them. Had a phone appointment with Centrelink but they did not call. Made another appointment for two weeks time. Went to doctor at Orion to have my ears cleaned out. Worked well. Rang Thalia and arranged to bring her to the farm 1st week in October.  
Thursday 22
Tiler started at Ben and Nay's. Moved tiles to backyard. To Meridy's to clean up. Coffee at garden centre and visit to Two Wheeled tyres. Ordered new ankee adventure for the Explorer.. At Meridy's I took recycling in and got 618 changed the pool cover and took a load of rubbish to her dump. Left about 5 to go to Katrina's arrived about six. 
Friday 23
Had a nice visit with Katrina and Nathan.i booked flights to Mackay start of October. Checked out their bathroom reno plans too. Head into Toowoomba to donate blood. Robyn went to Betros' to buy some fruit and vege and other groceries. We had coffee at the Abbey's Cottage Cafe nearby. As we left town we called in at Downes mower centre to see Cam Smith. It was good to see him. Fro. Here back to Dalby to fuel and pickup the bike before heading home. Got a call about 6pm from Andrew Purcell to say he was broken down at Jondaryan. He could get to Dalby with RACQ but would need help from there. Rang Chris he suggested Stu rang him and he put me on to Mal Smith. Mal sorted it with somewhere to stay and Josh helped him get going in the morning. I had a good yarn with Chris about bikes and trail ride and bringing his TTR to the farm to get it going and used.
Saturday 24
Up early and sorted most of the changes need to Pegs Great Ocean Road trip so we will be here for small halls event before we go. Worked on my sermon. Got another call from Andrew about 11.30am to say he made it to Jandowae and the car was still overheating. Arranged to borrow a car trailer from O'Brien's and meet him in Jandowae about 1pm. Jan and Leamster meet us there and Lester helped with the tying the car down. Took Andrew and his car to Mundubbera where we met a friend from Bilo who took them the rest of the way. Got home about 7pm.

Week 68 13 - 20 July CRD 57 Wk2 Europe.

Sunday 13 Last day of Super Bikes. Better day for Aussies Talya came 7th and Tara 20th WCR and Remi 9th in SBK and Ollie Baylass 13th . His team mate came second again. Met a bloke who was a Jack Miller fan and we yarned between races.  Robyn and Kate had a great day and went to visit Chatsworth House the inspiration for Jane Austin's Pemberly House in Pride and Prejudice. Came back to accomdation at Hartshorne and they were having a Pizza night with live music. Small group about 30 people good fun and good evening. We got out washing done too.  Monday 14 Dried our washing and then headed to York. Thought we would take the non motorway roads but it was not fun just congestion. So we M1ed it. York was amazing. Old buildings very close together. Could spend ages there. We then went open to Thirsk for the night. Visited the Yorkshire Vet building. James Heriot centre was shut. Week 83 26 Oct - 1 Nov CRD84

Sunday 26 Church at Cooranga North. I lead and Allan preached. Then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Robyn got ready to go on calenders trip with Wendy and Maddie I watched some Supercars .Robyn left about 3pm. I adjusted the chain on to 500 before we had a storm. Bit of noise but not much rain for us. Dad and I watched a Clarksons farm before bed.  Monday 27 Relief at Dalby CC today. Cover Exam super and then I cover two year 8 math classes. Robyn had an eventful day on her bike ride. First one of the group fell over while getting the bikes out of the room and and damaged her wrist. Robyn had a dizzy spell after exerting herself moving a tree off the track and Wendy came a cropper when she spotted a snake going through a gateway. They are back in Esk tonight. It was a hot day today with a hot wind. Predicting rain tomorrow. I put on  slow cooker when I came home so we have lunches this week.  Tuesday 28 Dalby CC today. English and Vis Arts exams. Week 69 20-27 July CRD57 W3 Europe

Sunday 20 Started the day with a visit to Kelpies on the North East of Falkirk. These huge art installation of two houses heads represent images of the Scottish mythical beast the Kelpie a water creature that looks like a horse. Very impressive. More driving in the beautiful Scottish countryside to our breakfast spot Tinto Hills Tearooms near Thankerton. Here I met a motorcyclist enjoying a ride and a Sunday morning coffee. Really think I need to come back and ride here. Next we visited Hadrain's wall or the ruins of part of it. It was the Romans Defence line across English to keep the Scots out. Originally 4 metres high what we saw was part of the foundations. The view of the English countryside was picturebook idyllic. Next we went to Lockerbie to see and reflect on the event of the Lockerbie bombing where a bombed PanAm jet literally fell out of the sky in 1988.
