Week 22 25 - 31 August
Sunday 25
Preached on Love at Cooranga North. Small group for 4th Sunday. Lunch at Pips n Cherries. Home for a nap then to OBrien's to return trailer and a yarn. Came home to a cow in the yard so we put her out and we put others in the cultivation back through to where they should be in at the trough above the diary. Started on the next series of Clarkson's Farm.
Monday 26
Relief at DCC. Robyn and Dad went to Dalby to have dad's leg dressed for the last time. They took a drive in the country through Kondii to Sunnyvale going around the back of Bell. I was on Man Arts and found some bits of steel to fix the back gate. When I got home Dad and I had a yarn on the front verandah till Robyn came home from Bible Study and the vet visit for Nala's shots. Robyn and I washed the ute before dark. Tonight we finished Renegade Nell. Good story.
Tuesday 27
Relief DCC had to 2 lessons with Year 4. I survived. Robyn and Dad went to Kingaroy. When I got home I fixed the back gate check and refilled mouse baits. Got a bit of hose for the Quad bike vacuum on fuel tap and replaced it. Did not fix the problem. Will have to try a fuel tap kit. Went for a ride up the back to check cattle on dark. They are in the area they have not touched yet.
Wednesday 28
Relief at DCC. Came home and washed the bike. Robyn cleaned the shipping container. I washed the bike when I got home. Izzy rang to say she and Jack and some friends are thinking of coming up on the weekend. Ian and Jayne have going to Barley from the weekend.
Thursday 29
Relief DCC. Robyn cleaned out one third of dairy floor. Great job. Checked loader batteries but both completely dead. Quite a lot of oil under it too. Managed to move cattle out of gravel pit hill and behind piggery paddock to the back. Think the problem with the quad might be it needs fuel. Will need to do some fence repair tomorrow. Jack and Izzy showed up with caravan about 9.30pm fir the weekend. Show holiday on the coast.
Friday 30
Headed to Yarraman for breakfast this morning and visited Reperran Motorcyckes and book bike for value clearance service on 6 November. Came home over the Bunyas. Fueled in Kumbia. Izzy and Jack's friends arrived. Dad Robyn and I had lamb shanks for lunch. After a nap Robyn and I fixed the fence below the piggery. All the cattle appear to be up the back now.
Saturday 31
Robyn and I went into Dalby to the Creek Street markets because Celeste had organised them for Dably Central State School. It is their annual fund raiser. They were pretty good and we had breakfast with Julie and caught up with Julie and Bill and Celeste. We came back to Pips n Cherries to meet Jenny Lee and Dad for a Father's day lunch. When we got home it was not long before Trudy and Ebony showed up. Jack and Izzy and their friends Brandon and Kate? and Dave came down for afternoon tea which Trudy catered for. We all crowded around the kitchen table 11 of us. It was very nice and think Dad enjoyed it. Jack and his mates got the old cars near the top house going and had a bit of a roar around. They went out to do some shooting but did not see anything. Nice day.
