Week 43 19 - 25 January
Sunday 19
Preached in Bell today. Last in Healthy Church Soil series. Healthy Correction. Came home and Ian and Jayne dropped in. They had been at Sue and Greg's for another of Greg's band gigs.
Had a nap and a long yarn with Kate and started our travel planning. Watched a couple more Annikia. Had some texting with Steven as I encouraged him that the book Troy was proposing would be OK. Need to pray for that.
Monday 20
Up early and rode Repperren's Thunderbird back to Yarraman. From there we rang Team Moto in Maroochydore to see if they had sold the 2012 Explorer. They had a contract but no deposit. After discussion at their end they decided to sell it to me for 10620 ride away. We went rode it and picked it up and brought it home. That was our day done.
Tuesday 21
Ian came up and took Dad to sleep specialist in Toowoomba. Robyn and I went to Kingaroy to shop. Had lunch with Neville Wenham. Took tillers to the other place to plough but too much grass will have to get disc harrows. Used drone to spec out fence line to spit Hill paddock. Ian stayed the night.
Wednesday 22
Did some work on the bike. Changed the tyres and fitted a quad lock. Robyn went to visit her mum after she helped me change the tillers to the disc harrows. I ploughed the paddock at the other place. Much better. After lunch I ordered lights for explorer 2 and found and ordered Pegs Starlink network cable. Then took a ride around the breeder's checking to see if there is any evidence of dingos. Seemed all good.
Thursday 23
Went to Matt's house with Matt today. We stood the verandah posts and after lunch at the Durong store started on verandah rails. And it started to shower. After a few attempts to get going again. We gave it away about 5pm. He dropped me home. Their was a bigger storm at home with branch blown everywhere. Robyn completed her second batch of relish. The Gmguys from GDL came out to look at the cattle and left a gate open. Robyn and I managed to get them back where they needed to be.
Friday 24
At 5.46am we recieved a text from Marie Skerman at Dalby Christian College to say we would be welcome at Bernii Godwin's PD today. It started at 9am. We got there about 9.15. It was good to hear the message again. We had lunch with Bernii Isaiah her step son and Linda? her driver for today. After this we got fuel for the farm and a new gate panel for the yards. We could not find seed so we ordered some sugar drip. When we got home.e o went for a ride around the farm and found a number of trees on fences and two cowes and a calf in the hill paddock above the spring. Asked Dad and Robyn to shut the gates above on the hill tomorrow and let the cowes in there.
Saturday 25
Left home at 5am for a motorcycling weekend away with Troy Law and Zach and the Dalby boys. First stop Killarney there I meet Uncle Chris, Stuart, Troy, Zach and his friend Craig who had been riding with them before. We rode to Paddy's flat then Clarence way and accross to Jackadgery and on to Grafton where we met Peter Swift the last member of our group and stayed the night at the Grafton Hotel. Nice days ride and not a bad place to stay. Lots of yarns
