Week 44 Jan 26 to Feb 1

Sunday 26
Breakfast at coffee shop then rode to Dorrigo then over to Coramba for lunch and back to Grafton. Discovery from today road from Tyringham. Except for Peter, Stuart and I the others went on a real adventure looking for Dorrigo rail tunnel No2. There was no road before they went. We went back to pub and waited for their return about two hours later.
Monday 27
No breakfast options in walking distance thus morning so we packed up and went to Maccas as our only resort. Rode from there to Kyogle where we parted ways with Zach, Craig and Stuart. Then rode over Lions Road to Aratulafor a break then winding across the country to Esk. Then up the range to past Perseverance dam to Crow's Nest Peter Swift headed to Pechey. I parted ways with Chris and Troy about Evergreen and home home through Quinalow and they went back to Dalby through Irvingdale. Great weekend and good to be home.
Tuesday 28
Shopping in Kingaroy. Worked on starting to move market cattle to front paddocks. Jandowae ask me to work on Thursday. Worked on Dalby CC mandatory training.
Wednesday 29
Started with Matt this morning. Met at bore corner at 5.30am worked on Jack rafters in front corners of the verandahs and trimed verandah rafter tails. Looking good. Body is feeling it as a big day. Robyn went to the doctor with Dad and that was a success she was upset about his specialist appoint and sorted his licence stuff. Parcels came today. Lights from Stedi, cable for Pegs starlink and parts for Explorer 1. Bed early I am smashed tonight.
Thursday 30
Teach Jandowae today. 9 /10 for three class sent me home last one. Robyn took bike parts to Yarraman. Then we got all the steers and heifers into paddock behind new diary. It took a bit but they are there.
Friday 31
Up early to Toowoomba to donate blood. Home by 10.30am not long before Ian's arrival. We went out and put sale cattle in the yard. GDL people arrived after lunch and had their scales to check size and we broke them into big ones and small ones we put the small ones back out in paddock about dairy and we picked out 4 killers from the big ones and put the rest out in the mill paddock behind the house. We keep one blind one in the yard too. Treated her for blight. Finished about 3.30pm and I got a message my bike was ready so went to Yarraman to pick it up. Came home and did mouse baits.
Saturday 1
Up early again to butcher kill cattle. Done by about 8am. Disaster was the sake cattle broke the fence and headed up the hill. No real way to get them back. After breakfast Ian went back to the Gold Coast and I went out to repair fences and cut trees of tracks. Robyn came and gave me a hand after she had prepared lunch. After lunch I had a sleep and then we went to Peg's to sort her starlink install. Happy with the result. Did not get home till 10.30pm. Big day to finish big week. Disappointed about cattle.
