Week 49 2 - 8 March CRD7

Sunday 2
Before Church I went a checked on sale cattle and one was out in the bull paddock but up in the next paddock I wanted to open them to so after breakfast I went and sorted the fence so they could access the next paddock. As a result we were a little late for church. Trevor preached and after church held the ACM. Peter L had asked me to join the committee on Management. I agreed. Meeting was brief and to the point. After morning tea we went to Pips n Cherries for lunch home for a quick nap. MotoGP and wash the bike. Pumped water. All the tanks are full. Forgot to turn pump off last night did it morning.
Monday 3
Relief in Bell. They want me to do ITD one day a week. Put in for Wednesday. Before work I did mouse baits switch off pump and finished bike wash and gave the scooter a quick wash. After work and a cuppa with Dad and Robyn. Robyn and I check sale cattle fence and counted 16 put a calf and a cow out of the bull paddock. We found a dead cow on the way up to the spring. Very smelly. Probably a heifer calving. Watched Season 3 E 2 of Reacher.
Tuesday 4
Before town Robyn and I went for a a buggy ride around the weaners. They are looking good and no fence issues. Still a fair amount of feed. In town I got my hair cut and Robyn got Round up and stuff to fix the window screens. We brought a power board and a new phone. After lunch we shopped, Dad gat a hair cut and we got fuel. Got home about 3.30pm. I checked the phone and it did not work so I reported it again. I changed my booking at Chinchilla for the weekend and sorted a note to be sent to Val. Our reflections of Dave whose funeral is tomorrow. Spoke to Chris Pengely, Steven and Alan. Anna arrived about 4.30. It is great to have her here. She goes to DCC tomorrow.
Wednesday 5
Relief in Bell today. Anna went to Dalby CC for her first time today to work with Year 9. Both went well. Robyn came in to Bell cause she lost the keys for the church when she visited yesterday.  Thought she had locked them in the church. With help they broke in but no keys turns out they were in the yard where they had fallen out of her pocket. Meet with Anna at the Bell store on the way home and then we came home and I took her for a buggy ride to show her what we have been up to on the farm. Cyclone is come in through Brisbane slowly. Schools are being shut from tomorrow as far out as Toowoomba. Typical fear response to the storm with panic buying and stuff.
Thursday 6
To Jandowae today. Year 6. Anna went to work with Year 10 on Dalby. Cyclone still coming but slower. No rain here. Robyn made a slow cooker meal for lunch.
Friday 7
Anna went to Dalby to work with 11 & 12 in session one and was home by lunch. I worked on book work and got some things sorted. Pretty happy with my progress. Had the first of my LoSoP School Reps meetings on powerful people. After lunch I fixed the quad. Robyn and Anba helped me out it back together. Very happy to achieve this. Watched some episodes of Man on the Inside before bed tonight.
Saturday 8
After breakfast Robyn and I took Anna on a ride around the weaners on the quads. Think the one I repaired needs a new bolt. After this I packed and rode Explorer2 to the Ironbutt Muster in Chinchilla. The afternoon was put in with yarning and stories. Enjoyed it. The presentation was from a bloke who went to Isle of Man TT. It was very interesting and probably put me off going a bit. It is brutal. The other one that was interesting was presentation about the Ironbutt Rally. Because of insurance restrictions the rally has had some significant changes like max ride time. Compulsory meal breaks and spot must be always on. Makes it a very interesting challenge. Keen to hear that report next year. Rain did not amount to much yet.
