Week 51 16 - 22 March CRD14

Sunday 16
When with Nathan and JB to Black Dog ride in Pittsworth. Tom and Hugo came too. Good day although about 35 bikes started we went to Goombungee stop one Highfields stop 2 and then back to Pittsworth stop 3 and lunch. By then there was about 15 bikes left. Had a good time with JB and Nathan anyway. Got home about 4.30pm finished pumping water and had an early night. Watched mini of F1 and MotoGP sprint. Robyn and Dad went to church on Bell and lunch at Pips n Cherries. 
Monday 17
School in Bell. Did the mouse baits all but the one in the ute were empty in 4 days numbers are up and there is the smell of dead mice at the front door. Went out in the buggy to find the heifer Zach had to shot. No idea how it got there and why it was there. We would never have found it in our normal life. Bit concerned that there is not enough feed left in the current breeder paddock til after Easter. 5 weeks. Really need to build fence from mill to the top of the hill to manage them better. 
Tuesday 18
Dad's cleaner came at 8. Robyn and I got the sale cattle in. I had a video call with my mentor group for the LoSoP course. Dad and Robyn went to town while I waited for the cattle truck. I plan route to MotoGP and shared it with Stu. I messaged Aaron to see if he wants coming and message Tony and Bob in the US about it. Tony does not think he can do it but Bob sounded very keen. Brought Euro at 0.5828 and Pound at 0.4908. Truck came just before 3 and cattle loaded easily. 16 total 4 heifers 11 steers and 1 bull. Robyn and I then did some work on picking a fence line and clearing it to spit hill paddock. Worked till dark. Good day. 
Wednesday 19
Relief in Bell. Ken was visiting when I got home. Did mouse baits 18 used. Cattle sold for $1000 per head. That is about $3 Kg. Ian was happy enough. I replaced the tap on the trough near house. Put the Biosecurity sign up at the gate. Packed up tools and moved Explorer 2 to the top shed. Took the quad for a run up the new fence line to create a track. Robyn did some cleaning and sorting at the church in Bell before bible study. 
Thursday 20
Dalby CC today. They lost 2 teachers mid term and are still waiting for someone to come through immigration. They have asked me to do Thursday and Friday next term until they show up. Think I will do it. Just need to check my calendar. After school Robyn and I went to the church and trimmed the trees. Robyn had been in Bell for part of the day completing hall clean up. Saw Terry and Margaret OBrien so it was well dark by the time we got home. 
Friday 21
Anna's birthday today. Robyn and I rang her before I went to Dalby. Year 9 today for English and Hums. This new season of relief teaching will require more prep. After school I got fuel of the farm and pickedcup Dad's watch and filled the ute. Back home I did mouse baits. Think I need to move to doing these every day. Robyn and I rode around the weaners paddock. There seems to be enough feed there for another couple of weeks. 
Saturday 22
Started in office and sorted message for church tomorrow. I put coach bolts in trees for new fence and dropped a roll of barb wire up there. Did some work around Moto GP cost and Southern Croos Biloela ride. Robyn went to her mum's place to clean with Wendy and we met at the church at 4.30pm and cleaned out timber underneath. Noel had been up to mow. It looks good. Came home and watched Moto 3 and 2 from last weekend. Had a message from Kate that there maybe some changes to our plans.

Week 68 13 - 20 July CRD 57 Wk2 Europe.

Sunday 13 Last day of Super Bikes. Better day for Aussies Talya came 7th and Tara 20th WCR and Remi 9th in SBK and Ollie Baylass 13th . His team mate came second again. Met a bloke who was a Jack Miller fan and we yarned between races.  Robyn and Kate had a great day and went to visit Chatsworth House the inspiration for Jane Austin's Pemberly House in Pride and Prejudice. Came back to accomdation at Hartshorne and they were having a Pizza night with live music. Small group about 30 people good fun and good evening. We got out washing done too.  Monday 14 Dried our washing and then headed to York. Thought we would take the non motorway roads but it was not fun just congestion. So we M1ed it. York was amazing. Old buildings very close together. Could spend ages there. We then went open to Thirsk for the night. Visited the Yorkshire Vet building. James Heriot centre was shut. Week 83 26 Oct - 1 Nov CRD84

Sunday 26 Church at Cooranga North. I lead and Allan preached. Then lunch at Pips n Cherries. Robyn got ready to go on calenders trip with Wendy and Maddie I watched some Supercars .Robyn left about 3pm. I adjusted the chain on to 500 before we had a storm. Bit of noise but not much rain for us. Dad and I watched a Clarksons farm before bed.  Monday 27 Relief at Dalby CC today. Cover Exam super and then I cover two year 8 math classes. Robyn had an eventful day on her bike ride. First one of the group fell over while getting the bikes out of the room and and damaged her wrist. Robyn had a dizzy spell after exerting herself moving a tree off the track and Wendy came a cropper when she spotted a snake going through a gateway. They are back in Esk tonight. It was a hot day today with a hot wind. Predicting rain tomorrow. I put on  slow cooker when I came home so we have lunches this week.  Tuesday 28 Dalby CC today. English and Vis Arts exams. Week 69 20-27 July CRD57 W3 Europe

Sunday 20 Started the day with a visit to Kelpies on the North East of Falkirk. These huge art installation of two houses heads represent images of the Scottish mythical beast the Kelpie a water creature that looks like a horse. Very impressive. More driving in the beautiful Scottish countryside to our breakfast spot Tinto Hills Tearooms near Thankerton. Here I met a motorcyclist enjoying a ride and a Sunday morning coffee. Really think I need to come back and ride here. Next we visited Hadrain's wall or the ruins of part of it. It was the Romans Defence line across English to keep the Scots out. Originally 4 metres high what we saw was part of the foundations. The view of the English countryside was picturebook idyllic. Next we went to Lockerbie to see and reflect on the event of the Lockerbie bombing where a bombed PanAm jet literally fell out of the sky in 1988.
