Week 55 13-19 April CRD21

Sunday 13
Went to church this morning. We were made feel very welcome. Our aim had been to encourage others and I think we did that. I was encouraged to see Rueben van Petersen and Tom Saron in church.
After church Robyn and I went form a cuppa. I went to see Affie who was very helpful in building a plan for next terms Man Arts in Bell. I brought some lunch on the way home and watched Moto GP and WSBK on catchup. We went to Bunnings and got some coach bolts for the fence at the farm then to see Edna on our way to the harbour to catchup with Christabell for fish and chips. Lovely to see them both. Edna is moving in to Homefield in the next 2 weeks. Christabell is being persecuted because she was part of the old pastoral care team. Like James and Jess. That part is very sad.
Monday 14
Started mowing Anna's grass. Then I rode Anna's bike to met Troy. We spent nearly 4hrs together and had lunch. Troy is struggling with the inactivity of the elders and cannot get past wanting them to be something they are not. He has no idea how to improve this approach. He feels like everything has been dumped on him and he has no one to help. No pew notes this week because he could not do them. He did agree to do Good and Beautiful God with me. There was lots of other stuff we spoke about. I found it hard to be completely direct because I want to build him up.
Robyn and I went back to the house and I cleaned out the gutters on the shed and we packed the stuff we want to take on the ute. We went to the dump and got there just in time to unload the grass. Back at Anna's we packed the ute ready for tomorrow. Showered and went to tge Andergrove Taven for dinner with Earren and Kerry. Anna and Chloe came too. Very nice evening and a great finish to a good visit.
Tuesday 15
Left Anna's at 5am. Sad to leave. Made good time. Stopped in Rocky for toilet. Then Boreren for coffee and donuts then Gin Gin for fuel and lunch Banban springs for a toilet stop the Kingaroy to shop and home by 4 30pm good days travel. Redid mouse baits and went to bed early.
Wednesday 16
Glen came up for a yarn this morning. Family is camp as is usual for this time of year. Ian arrived. He is taking Dad to the doctor in Toowoomba about Sleep stuff. Robyn started on the hill fence. We completed the middle run. Ian and Dad went well at the doctor. He was a nice bloke and impressed on Dad he has to use the machine to make sure his blood oxygen levels are up. If he does not it will cost him his licence and he us at risk of a stroke. Took some of the anti inflammatories I got form my knee. Very good considering how stiff I was after fence experience. Need to prep for desert adventure bike ride.
Thursday 17
Today we got ready for Ben and Nays visit. I turned the door near dad's chair around so it swings in the hallway. Glen and Neil and families camping in the gully packed up and headed home. Watched some TV after lunch. I went for a ride around the farm sugardrip looks good. Went to check the top end of the fence. There is still a lot to do. Ben and Nay arrived about 6.30. Ian went into Kingaroy to catch with Greg and Sue.
Friday 18
Setup flip lid mouse traps yesterday reckon I caught about 30 mice. Good Friday service in Bell. Alan preached. Dad was not feeling well so he stayed home. Robyn made roast lamb for lunch. Ebony came out to visit. I took Ian fir a look around the farm and he suggested we bail the sugardrip. Got the little quad out for Charlie and Lucy to ride. Ben and I built the next section of fence. Rang Paul. He has recieved a good health report. Talked about farm and plans. Be good if he can come up to help us sort the weaners.
Saturday 19
After breakfast Ben and Nay Charlie and Lucy and Robyn and I went for a ride around the farm. We put up new rain guage brackets and then went to where the fence We are building should finish. We pltted the route for the fence and in one pretty long run we ran out the top wire. Pretty happy with that achievement. Came home for an early lunch and then headed into Kingaroy. Did some shopping and picked up bin lids from Bunnings then went to the movies to see Dogman. It was great fun. Charlie love seeing his favourite book character in cartoon and laughed loudly with delight has he battled Petey the Cat his arch enemy. It was silly and fun. After the movie we went to the RSL for tea and home by 7pm to light the bonfire. It was huge and kit the whole valley. Big day. Kids went to sleep quickly. Ben and I tackled another Suduko and went to bed too. Robyn made a slice for church tomorrow before she cane to bed.
